From pixel art to a Minecraft build

Set the width in blocks and choose which blocks to use. Concrete has the flattest colors and gives the cleanest result; wool and terracotta add softer and earthier shades. The chart marks every 16th line in bold, which lines up with chunk borders if you start the build on one, and the materials list gives each block as stacks of 64 plus the total in shulker boxes.

  • Vertical wall art is limited by build height; a flat floor build is easiest to view from above or on a map.
  • Hover over the grid to see the block at each column and row while you build.
  • Build row by row from one corner and count from the bold lines to stay on track.

About the colors

Block colors here are approximate averages of each block’s texture, so they match what the block looks like from a distance, not every pixel of the texture. This is an unofficial fan tool: Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang and Microsoft, and this site is not affiliated with them.

Common questions

How many blocks will I need?

The materials list shows the exact number of each block, the same number in stacks of 64 and the total in shulker boxes of 27 stacks.

Does it work for Bedrock and Java?

Yes. The blocks listed exist in both editions; only the block IDs shown are written the Java way.
